Did you ever ask yourself why you use all this social medias?
I did. At first glance I really hated Facebook, flickr & co. However, after a while you get familiar with it, you use it more and more - even worse: it soon becomes a part of your social life!
How could that happen? How did they capture me? What keeps me going on using it?
I'm really interested in how the fascination works and how you can gain profits by engaging people in communication and collaboration - thats why i attend the social media class @ UCR!

Hi,Matt
ReplyDeleteThis is KEN.
I also hated social network and was not interested in it because if we use it,
many people get addicted to it. I think it's
not good sign and we should have actual communication more than social network communication. However, nowadays doing social
network is very common in the world,so we cannot
ignore it to develop our business and life.
Even though we are wondering about social network, let's think of it actively as a good
tool to learn marketing.
Thanks,
Ken
Hahahahahhha !!! Good point ! We are all victims of virtual social networks now ! We become dependant; it's like a drug for many of us...
ReplyDeletePlus, companies are getting more and more aware of the importance of this tool. They know the benefits they could take from it, and how to use it on marketing purposes. And guess who is the target ? US ! Poor little consumers... ^^
Well, see you on wednesday Matt !
PS : Ich kann auf deutsch sprechen, aber nicht als gut als Englisch ! Kannst du mir beibringen ? hahahha =D
You nailed it: It's a drug!
ReplyDeleteHahaha ich bring dir gern was auf Deutsch bei ;)
And now, i should start to listen a bit more.. :D
I do agree with you!
ReplyDeleteBy the way,"ich bring dir gern was auf Deutsch bei" is Germany and what does it mean?
It seems I know the word "ich" O(∩_∩)O
It's interesting hearing all of your perspectives. I actually joined facebook back when it was just for college students and it wasn't popular. Same goes for Twitter. It's amazing to see how both went from never hear of to mainstream influencers.
ReplyDeleteI personnaly liked social medias when they started, the first I joined was MySpace and I enjoyed it for a while, but I think that since Facebook is on I've mainly focused on that one. I find it interesting because it allows me to follow my friends all over the world, right now I'm in Riverside but some of them are in Malaysia, China, etc, and we can keep in touch with each other easily that way :)
